With big plans to transform our playroom into a play
school room, we started with our big chalkboard wall. I had been mudding it with joint compound to try get rid of the texturing on the wall. This was Missi's idea, I was going to sand the wall, but she made me realize the mess that would come with sanding. Mudding was much easier, though probably not quite as effective. So, after spending several days mudding the wall and letting it harden. We were ready to start painting. Here's the kiddos helping me prime the wall. So precious! We did even get two coats of chalk board paint on the wall that night too! However, being the perfectionist that I am, I think I am going to go over it with one more coat of paint just to try and fill in a few more of the little bumps still left on the wall. The kiddos really like it though!!! Now for desks and how to figure out how to put "centers" in the room. hmmmm...
