"The Big Day"

Teacher assignments for the 2013-2014 school year came this day, one week before school started.  Who does everyone have?  Are they in the same class as any/all of their friends?  I'd been getting texts from friends asking who Trey and Jada had, but our mail hadn't come. It was KILLING Trey.  So, the Joyners came over and I took them swimming to get their minds off everything.  When we got home, Trey ran to the mailbox and it was there!!!  You can see Ben Joyner watching Trey open his letter.  Oh, he was so excited and nervous at the same time.  He was VERY disappointed to find out he got Ms. Shaw - with NONE of his friends.  Especially after discovering that Jada got Mrs. Bellando and would be in Grace Heidenreich's class!  He was in tears almost.  If he hadn't had friends there, I think he may have shed a few.  But we talked about the positive of not having Wyatt, or Luke, or Payton, or any of his good friends in his class this year.  He nodded his head, but you could tell he didn't really appreciate those reasons.  But, to be honest, Trent and I are sort of glad, though my heart aches for him, because Trey is such a social guy and so friendly.  This will only open his heart to more and new people.  He will do great - even if he doesn't know it yet!!
