Go Ape Ropes Course, November 2016

When I was released from the Primary presidency, I was called as a Webelos leader and the Primary teacher for the 9 -10 year olds.  That meant, I became Trey's scout leader AND his primary teacher.  this really could not have been a better situation for me and Trey.  First of all, being a scout den leader is almost a dream calling for me!  I LOVE it!  And to able to spend time with just him on Sundays is such a blessing too!  He'd been having a difficult time as of late and I think this might have been a small dose of medicine for him.  Anyways, I had discovered this Go Ape ropes course quite by accident.  But I had called, and it was pricey.  When I asked the primary president if there was any money in our budget, she said there wasn't, but that I could plan an outing with friends that were Webelos.  So that's what I thought about doing.  However, two weeks later, (the first week of November) she informed me that there was an entire cub scout budget she was unaware of, that had not even been touched!  SOOOOOO....  here we are, courtesty of the Cub Scout budget!!!  YAY!

This Trey, me, Ben Dakin, Adam Miles and Austin Williamson.  John Dakin also came as another adult, but he was taking the picture! The assistant Webelos leader (Amy Miles) came, but couldn't climb because of a back neck.  She was there supporting us and cheering us on all the way, though!

This is Amy Miles - on the ground, watching and cheering (and some laughing, I'm sure!)

This was an all morning adventure, but one that was sooooo much fun!  We had a blast and the boys loved it I know.  It probably won't happen again, so I'm glad it was super fun for everyone!  Way to go boys!  That was a full morning of hard work and fun (the best kind of hard work!)
