Christmas Eve

Christmas in Utah just wouldn't be the same without Christmas Eve at Aunt Dana and Uncle Doug's house (Trent's aunt and Uncle that is).

After dinner each year, Santa pays us a visit.  Oh, how the kiddos love this!!

Jada just gets sooooooo excited with things - especially Santa!  And she is not at all shy.  This year, when Santa sat down, she hopped onto his lap. Then, he set her on the chair next to him so he could share some stories and then call out names to hand out presents.  When he called Jada's name, she threw her hands up and says in her excited and so cute of voice, "That's me!!!"  and then she jumps into his lap smiling bigger than Santa!  Isn't she a doll?!?!

Levi didn't really care to much - for Santa or the present.

Seth was willing to tolerate sitting on Santa's lap only because he knew he was getting a present.  You can tell, he is not very comfortable sitting there.  He is our first kiddo to really not like strangers.  He would rather wrap himself in Mommy's legs and hide.

Seth and Annie playing with Seth's toy.  So darling!

Also this year, per my suggestion, we had some of the smaller kiddos act out the Nativity.  It was fun, though right when I mentioned it Trey said "I don't want to" and Jada said "Yah!"  I had a script from a friend last year that we used.  They never got to practice so it was a little rough, but overall I think it was cute and could be a fun tradition.  We will see if they keep it up or not. Trey ended up being Gabriel and a wise man, while Jada was the Angel.  Can you tell she loved playing her part?!? She can't read yet, so Dagny helped her with her lines.  It was so cute!  Like I asked before, isn't she a doll?  And despite Trey not wanting to do the play, he did fantastic too!
