A Trip to the Heard

This was the first time I've been in the butterfly garden when there have been tons of butterfies!  It was so neat! 

Decided to walk a trail for the first time too, something other than the Dinosaur Trail.

 Along the way, we met a new friend and his mom.  This boy is Cody and him and Levi hit it off immediately!

They were so cute!

 

We even saw this yellow and black garden spider.  It is pretty scary looking huh?  Good thing they are harmless (for the most part).  Look at that awesome zig zag on the web.  Isn't that just cool.  I learned that this is another type of orb weaver, and all of the yellow and black garden spiders make that zig zag "seam" in their webs.  Nature is so cool!  I hope my kiddos find it as fascinating as I do!  

This is Levi and Cody playing in the old village at the end of our long walk.  A fun filled day, that's for sure!
