So much to see, so little time! But... Balthzaar to start our day with the best breakfast I think we've ever had anywhere! My choice: eggs florentine, Trent's: eggs benedict. We will definitely be coming back here every single time we come to NYC! No doubt about it. Thanks David for the recommendation!
The notorious NYC subway. We lived on this while we were there! And we only got on 1 wrong train the whole time! Heck, the first day, Trent was so good, that we would get to the station, and within a minute or so the train would be there and we would get on. I didn't realize that the trains sometimes went to different places, or skipped stops, until we got on the wrong one one time. Trent had an app that told us where all the subway stations were so we never had a problem finding them. It was so nice! And we bought an unlimited use (for some amount of time) pass so we jumped on and off as needed. Loved it! And I was quite enthralled with them. It's a pretty amazing system they've got there!
Here we are walking towards the Statue of Liberty - at Wall Street! I thought this was really cool!
And of course, the bull was out for the bull market. Trent knew what this meant - I didn't, sadly. But it didn't make it any less cool!
Statue of Liberty. We didn't go to it, but boy was it fun to see and admire.
See what I mean about not knowing how firetrucks got anywhere?!? Isn't this intersection crazy?!? I couldn't even figure out who was trying to go where, and no one was moving, of course. The crazy thing is that is was typical! Wow, I couldn't drive this every day, that's for sure!
Can you believe the crane up so high? Construction companies out here better offer life insurance for it's employees!
The 9/11 Memorial building and twin towers memorial fountains. Now, this was a really special place to visit. To see those fountains and remember those that lost their life that day, was a very serene experience. The Spirit was so strong there, it was amazing.
This is looking up the 9/11 Memorial building from the street level. Pretty awesome, huh? 103 floors or so!
These were some views out of the 103 floor of the 9/11 Memorial
building. Is this city just massive and impressive? It's really,
almost unbelievable - like so much about this city!
yeah, this is not so effective is it? Had to snap a picture of the
water leaking out of the fire hydrant, then running onto the road out of
the full bucket. Gotta love it!
Empire State Building. Had to go see this too!
And the whole reason for our trip: U2!!! The concert was great - a lot of old songs. They never disappoint!
