Jada was Otter of the Week in her class in October. With that comes the privilege of bringing home Verde, Ms. Tinch's special finch (catchy huh?). However cute it is, this tradition just grosses Mommy out. The kiddos trade off who gets to keep this stuffed animal for the week and gets to document their time with Verde in a class journal. It's cute, but really gross. Kids sleep with this thing, take it everywhere they go... and I'm guessing it is not getting washed - YUCK! Talk about spreading germs?!?!? Anyways, now that I have vented (possibly for a second time), and hopefully not ruined this post for Jada, lets talk about how special this was for Jada.
Jada was so excited to have Verde with her. She already LOVES stuffed animals, so to have a special stuffed animal from someone else entrusted to her made this even more important and exciting for her. Verde went everywhere that Mom and Dad allowed "it" to go. And Verde was shown to anyone and everyone that came within a 5 foot radius of our sweet Jada. She could hardly contain herself. Here were a couple pictures we took of her caring for Verde that week. She was so happy. Mom and Dad were so proud of our princess for earning Otter of the Week in her class. She is such a good student and a wonderful friend and an amazing daughter! We love her so much and are so proud of her! We are so blessed to have her in our family!
