A Day Off

The kiddos had President's Day (February 17th) off of school.  So, we took full advantage of the awesome weather and invited some friends to join us at our favorite... Oak Point Nature Preserve.  We took some games to do, some bubbles to blow, some easter eggs to do an easter egg hunt (without candy of course),  and our picnic supplies - including our old faithful yellow blanket that was originally my mom's Grandma Dorothy's.  Pretty cool huh?  It has served us well ever since Trent and I were married.  We love it and it seems indestructible.  Can't beat that combination for us Lofgrens, who are known to be pretty hard on things.  Anyways, here are some pictures I got from that fun outing with the Dakins.

Cool sight under the bridge - had to get a photo of it to keep practicing.

Could there be a more precious picture?

The whole gang of kiddos that were there that beautiful day. Trey, Jada, Seth, Levi, Evie, Ben and Lucy

Levi running in the open field.

Not sure if they were being Storm Troopers from Star Wars or Cowboys or what, but they sure are cute playing with these "big sticks." (Levi in front, Seth in the back)

Seth.  Gotta try something new.  I love how he is always exploring, asking questions and trying to figure things out these days.  Obviously, he realized this technique wasn't the best, so he switched to the old and trusted way to blow bubbles:

A couple cute pictures of Evie I captured, that I thought I would share.

It was a fun morning and we had a blast, but alas, the little ones were exhausted and needed naps shortly after lunch time,  So we headed out and enjoyed the rest of our day relaxing and doing things at home.  Thanks for the fun morning friends - you made it even more fun!
